Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description

Status: Full-time/Part-Time

Term: Contract

Shift: Morning shifts/Afternoon shifts/Evening shifts/Weekend shifts/On-Call shifts

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the assessment and planning of all aspects of client care, delivering standard nursing procedures, administer medication and document in compliance with respective legislation requirements.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent. Must have a current license as an RN with the CNO, in good standing. Current CPR and First Aid, valid Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Any other certification(s) and training is an asset. A minimum of 6 months of experience working as an RN, and experience working in community health centres, long-term care or nursing home facilities, public health, clinics, primary care settings or home care agencies. A valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Other: Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Ability to read medication prescriptions and complete an Incident Report Form. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and explain or convey their needs to the healthcare team. Available to work a minimum of 10 hours a week.

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Job Description

Status: Full-time/Part-Time

Term: Contract

A minimum of 6 months of experience working as an RPN, and experience working in community health centres, long-term care or nursing home facilities, public health, clinics, primary care settings or home care agencies. Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Status: Full-time/Part-Time

Term: Contract

Shift: Morning shifts/Afternoon shifts/Evening shifts/Weekend shifts/On-Call shifts

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for assisting clients to live safely and independently (as permitted by their health condition). You will also assist clients with aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. You will assist in organizing leisure activities for the client, providing meaningful companionship, and assisting in satisfying their social and emotional needs.

Qualifications: PSW Certificate from an accredited educational institution OR Nursing student with at least 1 completed year of schooling. Current CPR and First Aid, and a valid Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Any other certification(s) and training is an asset. A valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle. 

Other: Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Ability to read medication prescriptions and complete an Incident Report Form. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and explain or convey their needs to the healthcare team. Available to work a minimum of 10 hours a week.

Resident Care Aide (RCA)

Status: Full-time/Part-Time

Term: Contract

Shift: Morning shifts/Afternoon shifts/Evening shifts/Weekend shifts/On-Call shifts

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for providing emotional support and non-medical services that improve the lives of clients, as well as assisting them to live safely and independently (as permitted by their health condition). You will support clients with all aspects of personal care, meal prep, cleaning, pet care, etc. and accompany them to appointments as needed.

Qualifications: A positive attitude and cheerful spirit. Current CPR and First Aid, and a valid Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Any other certification(s) and training is an asset. A valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Other: Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Ability to read medication prescriptions and complete an Incident Report Form. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and explain or convey their needs to the healthcare team. Available to work a minimum of 10 hours a week.
